DigiPlus Foundation is helping the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) replenish critical relief supplies with a donation of 200 sacks of rice that will be repacked into Family Food Packs (FFPs) for more than 1,600 families affected by disasters and emergencies across the country, including communities severely affected by Habagat rains and flooding.
The donation was formally turned over to the DSWD’s National Resource and Logistics Management Bureau (NRLMB) during a ceremonial handover on September 9, 2026, at the Luzon Disaster Resource Center in Pasay City.
Each sack contains 25 kilograms of rice. The donated supply will be incorporated into FFPs, helping the DSWD maintain its stock of essential food supplies and respond quickly when emergencies arise.
“This donation goes beyond providing rice. It helps put food on the table for more than 1,600 families facing difficult circumstances brought by disasters, particularly those affected by the Habagat rains and flooding. Support like this allows us to strengthen our relief operations and respond to urgent needs when communities need assistance most,” said Patrick John G. Reyes, Chief Administrative Officer of the DSWD’s National Resource and Logistics Management Bureau.
